Original publisher’s olive-green cloth, front cover lettered and decorated in gilt with pictorial centerpiece, spine lettered and ruled in gilt with vignette. Illustrated throughout by Dan Beard, including full-page plates and decorative chapter headings. Cloth rubbed with wear at corners and spine ends, with small losses and fraying at the head and foot of the spine; gilt dulled but legible. Hinges cracked. Two owner signatures on flyleaf. Good.
