Full brown calf, rebacked, with a black Morocco tooled label in a compartment to the spine between raised bands, other compartments with simple decorative gilt. Both boards securely attached with reinforced joints and hinges. Boards scuffed and rubbed. shelf and edge wear. Page edges toned and with damp staining and marks, the damp staining seeping through to some leaves. One old tape repair, pictured. Inscription scratched out on front pastedown. Text block very clean with light toning, occasional foxing, and few marks. Bottom corner of the title page has a small fragment lacking. Inscription reading "note f means s" to the head of the title page. Good condition and rare.
