A bright, well-preserved example of this early twentieth-century work by the noted physicist and psychical researcher Sir Oliver Lodge, exploring the philosophical and scientific arguments for the persistence of consciousness after death. Cloth shows light rubbing at extremities with minor wear to spine ends; gilt lettering remains strong. Ex library but with only Dewey Decimal on spine and penciled in margin of Preface; no card/pocket or library stamps. Internally clean with light, even toning; binding sound. Very Good.
