Rosemary’s Baby is a psychological horror novel about a young woman who comes to suspect that her neighbors are part of a satanic cult with designs on her unborn child. The book was both a critical and commercial success, praised for its slow-building suspense and unsettling realism. Its 1968 film adaptation, directed by Roman Polanski and starring Mia Farrow, closely followed the novel and became a landmark in horror cinema.
