Each volume has 5 raised bands, gilt spine decorations, a red/gilt label, and hand-marbled endpapers in the classic French curl pattern. All edges speckled in red. Several volumes chipped at base of spine. Vol 4 has a 1 inch crack at lower front edge but holding firm. Internally, all mildly foxed. Binding secure and no writing noted. Good+ and beautiful set.
