A striking deluxe edition of the second arc of Locke & Key, Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodríguez’s celebrated modern horror comic series. In addition to presenting the full Head Games storyline in richly reproduced comic form, this Subterranean Press volume also includes “Intermission,” a substantial prose story by Joe Hill set within the Locke & Key universe, printed as a long textual section following the graphic narrative. The inclusion of this novella-length piece makes the volume more than a simple comic collection, expanding the mythology of Keyhouse and the supernatural keys through traditional prose fiction.

Subterranean Press issued this edition in three states: 1,000 unsigned trade copies, 250 numbered signed copies, and only 26 lettered copies. The lettered issue, such as the present example, represents the most limited form of publication and includes original artwork by Rodríguez in addition to the dual signatures. With only twenty-six copies produced worldwide, these lettered editions are rarely encountered and are highly sought after by collectors of modern horror, comic art, and works by Joe Hill.
