Handwritten Business Letter from Samuel Hill to Mr. Amos White [Portsmouth, New Hampshire, August 23, 1790]. A letter noting Samuel Hill discussing stavs, shingles that he wants to load (on a ship presumably), also noting White may send for the rum, and payment may be taken out of the molasses. Hill also mentions cotton and coco(a). Amos White was a Dover, New Hampshire merchant, while Samuel Hill was a merchant in Portsmouth, apparently importing and exporting items from the ships that anchored there. Small triangular hole resulting in minor loss of text. Some fold creases present. Good.
