First edition. 480pp. Frontispiece portrait, protected by intact tissue. Dark brown cloth with gilt spine titling, rubbed at head/tail of spine. One small white spot on rear board. Pages 436/437 bear a brown stain from a leather bookmark left for over a hundred years to mark the section describing the use of coca leaves. Binding secure and no writing noted. Very Good.
