Goodliffe was the stage name of W. H. Goodliffe (1897–1967), a British magician, author, and publisher best known as the founder and longtime editor of Abracadabra, the world’s longest-running magic weekly magazine. First published in 1946, Abracadabra became a cornerstone of the British magic scene, offering news, tricks, commentary, and community for magicians of all levels. Goodliffe himself performed magic, particularly in his younger years, but his lasting legacy lies in his work as a writer and editor, helping to document and shape the development of 20th-century conjuring in the UK.
