Approx. 224pp. Undated, but with a gift inscription dated Christmas 1912. Presumed first edition with these illustrations. Bound in pictorial boards with gilt titles to spine and upper board. Spine ends and corners bumped, rubbing to cover illustration. Green-stained page edges. Illustrated throughout with Helen Stratton’s richly detailed color plates, including several double-page; all present, though frontispiece is detached and one plate slightly cropped at outer margin. Inner front hinge starting, spine cracked mid-volume with some looseness to the binding. Pages toned with occasional foxing and a few proud of the block. Good.
