Self-printed, personal manuscript by noted Hungarian/Houston artist Alice Lok Cahana. Octavo (8.5 x 11), 46 pages. Holograph letter signed on Cahana's stationary with photographed manuscript with unknown person's notes in red ink. Her letter states: "Dear Myrna, it was so good to talk to you! I am grateful for Beatrice to connect us. As you asked, I am sending you the manuscript, I would appreciate your advise [sic], thoughts and comments; with gratitude, fondly, Alice". Letter creased from being folded into an envelope. Manuscript with some very minor edgewear, etc, from being reviewed. Good condition and one-of-a-kind.

Cahana was a survivor of the Holocaust who used her art and writing to celebrate Judaism. The manuscript details the experience of her imprisonment and liberation. She was one of five Hungarian Holocaust survivors whose story was featured in the Steven Spielberg 1998 Academy Award-winning documentary movie, "The Last Days."
