First Edition. 8.25" x 6", 90pp + 8pp publisher's catalogue. Blue cloth with silver, gilt, black and red pictorial design/titling. Owner's name inside both covers and on rear of frontis; initials written twice in upper margin of first page of text. Head/tail of spine cloth rubbed. Rear hinge just starting. Text and boards quite clean. Very Good.
A pleasant collection of light, whimsical tales featuring talking animals and gentle humor. Well-suited for readers or collectors interested in early 20th-century children's literature with a mild fantastical touch.
