Original publisher’s red cloth, blocked in black and gilt with star motifs and pictorial panels to the upper board, gilt spine lettering and decoration, patterned endpapers. Cloth rubbed at extremities with light fraying at spine ends, contemporary gift inscription and presentation plate to front pastedown dated 1894. Hinges cracked. Stain left between pages 152/153 by a forgotten bookmark. Good+.
