Publisher’s khaki cloth, upper cover and spine lettered in gilt, upper cover with mounted color pictorial onlay and frontispiece by George Gibbs. General rubbing and soiling to cloth with some darkening to spine, a few small marks to boards, and light wear at extremities; pictorial onlay remains attractive and well-preserved. Interior clean with light age toning and sound binding. A solid, honest first printing. Very Good.

The direct sequel to Anne of Green Gables and one of the scarcer early Anne titles in true first printing. The mounted pictorial panel and George Gibbs illustrations make these early Page printings especially desirable to collectors of Montgomery and classic children’s literature.
