"The Call of the Wild" by Jack London [Macmillan, 1903]. First edition, fifth printing. Green cloth with gilt titling and red/black/white pictorial cover. Illustrated by Philip R. Goodwin and Charles Livingston Bull on 18 plates. Extremities rubbed/bumped and damage to the right edge of front cover (looks like a bite mark but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that's unlikely?). Hinges intact but a bit weak. Small stain at lower corner of rear board. Gift inscription on flyleaf. Textblock mostly clean. Good- and uncommon.
