JINARAJADASA, C. First Principles of Theosophy.
Adyar, Madras: Theosophical Publishing House, 1951. Ninth edition. 8vo, xi + 465pp. Publisher’s blue cloth, lettered in black to front board and spine. Profusely illustrated throughout, including diagrams, charts, and full-page plates (notably a color diagram of the solar system and a large folding chart of the periodic law). Light rubbing and minor spotting to cloth; extremities gently worn. Hinges uncracked, though the binding exhibits some play when handled. Internally clean, with only light, even toning. Very Good-.
Jinarajadasa’s widely read introduction to Theosophical thought, presenting core concepts of cosmology, matter, and spiritual evolution through a synthesis of scientific language and esoteric philosophy. The numerous diagrams reflect the movement’s effort to reconcile modern scientific frameworks with metaphysical systems, making the work both a doctrinal text and a visual guide to early twentieth-century occult-scientific thinking.
