Handsomely bound in three-quarter brown leather over marbled paper-covered boards, spine lettered in gilt with the name “Nancy Henle” at foot. Marbled endpapers. A later but attractive custom binding of Grahame’s enduring classic, preserving the original text block of the 1931 Methuen printing. Light rubbing and scuffing to leather, including some darkened areas to upper spine; joints sound and binding firm. Internally clean and bright with light age toning only. Very Good.
