Henry Austin Dobson was an English poet and essayist best known for reviving 18th-century verse forms such as the rondeau, triolet, and ballade. His light, urbane poetry - rich with historical allusion and polished technique - made him a leading figure in the late-Victorian movement toward French-influenced lyrical forms.
