Contemporary full calf boards, professionally rebacked in modern period-style brown leather with raised bands. Original boards retained, showing expected wear, scuffing, and patina. Spine titles supplied in manuscript on modern paper labels; additional lightning-bolt devices applied as later decorative elements rather than original publisher’s tooling. Endpapers renewed at rebacking. Text complete in all three volumes, with light to moderate foxing and age-toning throughout; occasional spots but no losses observed. Bookplate from HWM King in two volumes. Very Good.

The fourth and final lifetime edition of Cavallo’s principal work on electricity, incorporating expanded sections on medical electricity and later experimental developments. Cavallo, a Fellow of the Royal Society, played a significant role in the late-18th-century transmission of electrical knowledge through systematic experimentation and clear exposition.
