"Little Women: A Story for Girls" by Louisa M. Alcott [Blackie & Son, n.d./c1900]. Approx. 7 x 5 inches. Bound in original decorated cloth with frontispiece plate. Cover design likely by Talwin Morris, who served as Art Director for Blackie & Son from 1893 to 1909 and was known for introducing Glasgow Style elements to the firm’s bindings. Cloth spine and board edges slightly browned, with a tear to the cloth at rear outer hinge (board remains firmly attached). Endpapers lightly browned with an inscription dated 1910. Vertical crease to title page; very occasional light foxing to pages and endpapers. A solid Very Good copy overall.
