First published in 1926, Education and the Good Life presents Bertrand Russell's philosophy of education, arguing that intellectual freedom, curiosity, courage, and emotional development are essential to raising thoughtful, independent individuals. Russell (1872–1970), one of the twentieth century's most influential philosophers and public intellectuals, was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1950. His writings on education reflected his broader commitments to rational inquiry, individual liberty, and social progress.
