Some rubbing to head/tail of spine and discoloration at corners (as pictured). Mild dampstain persistent in lower margin for first 20 pages but doesn't intrude upon text. Very Good-.
Hamilton Wright Mabie (1846–1916) was an American essayist, editor, and literary critic best known for his work with The Outlook magazine and for popularizing literature among general readers. A prolific author, he wrote collections of essays on books, culture, and moral life, as well as retellings of myths and fairy tales for children. Mabie was a respected voice in the American literary scene of his day, often promoting reading as a means of personal and moral improvement.
