White spine with teal boards, all covered in minute, elaborate gilt designs. 18mo (4" x 6"), 294pp. Light rubbing at head/tail of spine and a stripe across cover where gilt has faded, as pictured. Bookplate from Rhode Island author and attorney Edward C. Stiness. Additionally, Stiness's signature with date in rear: "Edw. C. Stiness, Pawtucket R.I., Oct 24th 1894". Call number in pencil on title page and small numbered sticker (351) inside front cover. Lower 1.5 inches of front hinge cracked but otherwise a very clean and sound copy. Very Good- and scarce.
